How much to mark up SMM services
Your margin is your price minus the provider rate, but the right markup is different for every service. Here is how resellers who stay in business usually think about it.
Price per service, not per catalogue
A flat 100% markup makes cheap views too cheap to bother with and makes followers with refill too cheap for the guarantee you are selling. Set each service on its own.
Low-cost, high-volume services
Views and plays cost fractions of a cent per unit. Sell them in round packages (1,000, 5,000, 10,000) where the absolute profit per order makes sense, not per unit.
Services with refill
Followers and subscribers with a refill window justify a higher markup because you may have to request a refill later. The refill days are on the price list.
Respect the minimum
If your smallest retail package is below the provider minimum you cannot fulfil it. Build your packages from the minimum up.
Count the costs that are not the rate
Payment fees, refunds you give before the provider refills, and your time answering questions. A service that generates questions is more expensive than its rate.
Put it into practice
Open an account, add $10 and test the services you plan to resell.
